Here's the mod if your interested

I found "30 amp automotive relays" on radioshack's website which I could get locally. Would these work in this mod? Or do I need a relay with a higher amp rating? Thanks alot guys and gals.

*edit* Thinking about it, maybe I actually need one with a lower rating?

Basically if your key is not in the ignition and turned, your headlights switch off automagically too... so you don't have to worry about leaving your lights on when you leave the car... or another way to look at it - if you like the idea of DRLs - keep your lights on all the time and they will turn on/off with the car...

(The extended version of this is to add a switch so that you can go back to normal behavior by toggling the switch).

the radio shack relays are crap. Get Bosch 30 or 40 amp relays. I have a 10 amp fuse for my lowbeams and 15 amp fuse for my highbeams.

Ok, I won't get the radio shack ones. Are you talking about this mod though? Because it doesn't seem to have low/high beam, just right/left headlight and parking lights.
