door lights

door lights

i changed a bulb in my door lights and when i plugged the new one in, it didnt light up. I checked all the fuses [all the other lights were working tho] just in case and found nothing. kinda tickin me off that on door light works and the other doesnt. Any one have any ideas on what is going on?

I have same problem. Only courtesy light from driver side doesn't light up. Bulb seems to be ok because it lights up when passenger sides are open. Also, I don't think driver side door sensor is bad, because my map light turns off when I close it. I have no clue..

you guys might wanna try flipping the bulb around in the socket or get a meter out to see if there is voltage there.

the bad one has 9 volts running through it and the good ones has 14 volts running through it.. still stumped on what is goin on

tap the wire after the socket and measure the voltage again. if it is 14 then you have a bad socket if not check the resistance on the sockets, if the broken one has greater resistance you might have to rerun the wire.
