Yes, I know its covered somewhere but I cant find it right now. Could someone post the link which directions to remove the ECU please?

Advanced search with google/yahoo did not turn up any hits.

1. Disconnect battery negative terminal
2. Remove the plastic covers under center console(both driver and passenger side)
3. Using a 10mm ratchet, unbolt the connector from the ECU
4. There are four screws to remove to free the ECU from the bracket, one in each corner
5. Remove the front two (relatively easy) using either an offset screwdriver or pliers.
6. Remove the the rear two using the offset screwdriver
7. Slide the ECU out of the passenger side

Tips:

I found that using a pair of pliers to loosen the screws and then using the offset screwdriver to completely remove them as the easiest method of removal

You can opt to remove the entire ECU and bracket assembly by cutting all the plastic zip ties that hold the bracket to the wiring and removing the two bolts holding the bracket to the chassis

Perfect! Thanks man! Now how come I never heard of an offset screwdriver? What sort of a beast is this? Is it a Screwdriver with a 90 degree angle or what?

Took a pic of one for you. I put a quarter in the pic so you have an idea as to the size of the tool.

Much appreciated! I actually took the second way and removed the two bolts holding the bracket. I also cut up my lip and chin while trying to pull the thing off of the harness. But I have m ecu in front of me finally.
