ae headlight help
ae headlight help
i was planning on doing the ae head light mod in the how to's, untill i got to thinking. when u put the lights in the oven do u put them on a pan, and are they to hot to pick up by hand? does the paint need to be completely fry or just to the touch? if u all could help me out i would be grateful.
i put the oven at 250degrees, put the headlights in there for 15 minutes (set them on a pan). Be careful when you take them out of the oven they will be a little hot, so i recommend just using a towel or cooking glove to take it out.
As for the paint, i let it sit for a hour or so then did a second coat to be sure. It should be good if you let them set for an hour.

nice, can't wait to see. i've been wanting to do this too but haven't had time and am not sure how it'll look on my 95 glass housings.
are you gonna do the clearance lights too? i'm hoping to do this in the next few weeks...i'll make a final decision on it once i see your's
...no pressure though.

i did my headlights and cornerlamps. i love the way it looks cuz it makes it stand out from all the other max's i see out there. heres some pics:

the only bad part is that its not as noticeable as on the 97+ 4th gens. but it looks good nevertheless.
