changing the belts?
I was wondering how much of a pain it is to change the belts..is it easy enough to do if i just take out the wheel well liner? I've got the service manual but it doesnt seem to have a whole lot of info

I changed mine a few weeks back after my SC shredded the belt.
Putting the stock belt back on was harder for me than it will probably be for you (tight fit with SC in place)
From the top of my head here are some steps you can use.
A. on the passenger side of the engine there is a 'Golden Nut' that is connected to the belt tensioner pulley; loosen that up some.
Jack the car up, take the wheel, and engine guard off. The belt tensioner pulley has another 14 MM nut holding it in place. Loosen the nut, and then move the pulley up for some space, but do not completely remove the nut (Done from underneath car). Note * The second nut is a tight spot, so I recommend a simple 14 mm wrench with a slight offset on the closed end.
Remove the old belt, and then replace with new one. Make a mental note of how the old belt is routed.
SPECIAL NOTE!!! PAY ATTENTION!!!
When you put the new belt on, and re-tighten everything, make sure the belt can flex 90 degrees perpendicular to the ground. I did not pay attention to this point, and trust me I paid dearly (Burned up an important pulley).

hmm..i just did the main belt..it was getting late and I didnt feel like dealing with that little bolt for the power steering pump. I tried to spec it to the books tension (about 4 mm with a 22-pound force)..
Just checked it..its pretty close to being able to twist that far..I'll check it again when I get home from work to see if it loosened up at all. Thanks!

the tensioner pulley is the one that the back of the belt is against (the only one with a smooth surface). first you loosen the bolt going through the pulley (14 mm) and then if you look from above, there's a largish nut thing you can use to move the pulley up and down..after you move it you just tighten the bolt holding the pulley again
