96 Wing brake light

My brake light doesn't work on my wing and it is preventing my car from passing the Maryland inspection. I haven't found an option for this other than buying the unit from the dealer for $200 or something outrageous. Can someone help me out with this? Thanks in advance.

Maybe a junk yard will have that LED array....or a spoiler assembly from which you can pawn the parts you need... did you check that power is getting to the lights and all that basic stuff before you just swap out the part...

This same thing happened to me...buy it from this site
www.nissan-auto-parts-dealer.com
they sell all real nissan parts for lower than dealer prices.. its still like 150, but thats better than 200!

same sheit happend to me. the oem part is too much money. there are no aftermarket LED strips that bolt in so you have to custom fit one. The clear LED is a popular mod. You have to break off some of the tabs and pretty much glue it in place.

Guys, thanks for all of the answers. If the light is unscrewed will it pull out to expose a plug or something? I'm new to Maximas so I need to know things like this. Is there a place to get other parts from? a couple of more questions:

Does a 96 have an in cabin filter?
Is the fuel filter easy or hard to replace?
How hard is it to replace the spark plugs? I heard number 6 is a pain in the butt.

I just noticed today my 3rd brake light was not working. One of the pins on wire harness was corroded and broken off.I just cut the harness off and spliced the wires back togather.Works fine now. It's a small harness with 1 black wire and 1 red wire under the trunk lineing,

Thanks for this info. I received the light overnight last night and it passed inspection today. The 3M tape worked better than I thought it would and I didn't think the light would be red at first. I cut the connector off of the old light and soldered it to the new light. Worked like a champ!
