cars at 116k and the service engine has been on since my intake install about 2-3 months ago, figured Autozone had free checking so i had my codes pulled straight up.

Pulled 2 knock sensor codes!

See I would fix the other problems you have first before replacing the knock sensor. I have talked to several techs who say that sometimes other codes will trip the KS and infact your KS might not be bad.

Anyhoo JRnissan had the best deal on KS's I found.

So true, so true!! My knock sensor is dead right now. Looking for a brand new for cheap at the moment.

 

Another common cause of a knock sensor code is a bad ground on the knock sensor harness. Follow the cables to where they ground to the chassis and make sure the screws are clean and tight.
