clutch fluid

clutch fluid

what type of clutch fluid does a 96 maxima se 5spd take? mine is completely empty, i think i might have a leak.

also do u have to bleed any lines or anything?

Dot3 brake fluid, there are 2 bleeder screws, one on the tranny slave cyl and one on the right side shock tower.

Use Regular DOT 3 brake fluid. If your fluid reservoir is almost empty, most like ly you have air in system. So you better bleed it. The nut is located on slave cylinder to bleed teh system.

is it hard to bleed the system? do i have to jack the car up?

no you can leave the car on the ground, If you dont have one of those automatic bleeders, you need 2 people, one pumping the pedal and the other turning the bleeder screws to catch the fluid in the catch can

by right side do u mean passenger or driver side. pics would help alot, i dont know what bleeder screws look like.

can someone please give a little more detail on bleeding the clutch, i got court to go to for one of my speeding tickets.

Maybe you're better off without a working clutch.
