I like the way my exhaust sounds, relatively quiet, some nice deep tone at idle, very slight drone when lugging the engine at low rpm, crackles to life when called on. I have a wsp y-pipe, stock b-pipe, and a dynomax super turbo muffler also a real sweet resonated s/s tip. my coworkers like the setup and the family does too. rice what rice?? no complaints!!!!

can't say if it does or doesn't. I had the tip put on with the muffler, so no "b4 & after". just nice sound! I bet you'll like this setup.

just remembered that I actually cruised to work w/o music so I could enjoy the subtle exhaust note at hwy speed! NOT LOUD AT ALL! not like the drone of a coworkers truck w/flowmasters at speed, i don't know how he stands it, forget about music at a low to medium level. i'll take mine anytime over DRONNNNNNEEE! oh yeah mecca, i WISH I had your problems.....let's see s/c, hmm....a little off key exhaust note...ha..yeah right.

I have a budget y-pipe sitting in my garage. I plan on doing a 2.5 custom b-pipe and I was going to buy a dynomax super turbo muffler until this post got me thinking. I hate crackling or droning noise, and I don't want it to be really loud. Any reviews on powertech, magnaflow, or borla mufflers? If all sounds like crap then i'll just use the stock muffler with a tip and save some cash.

i have a borla pro xs muffler with a budget y and budget b pipe with resonator. i would not suggest doing this without a resonator, i personaly like the sound of my exhaust and have gotton only complements. it doesnt drone at highway speeds and can always be canceled out with music when driving around town. it doesnt sound rice at all. note: i have my y pipe wrapped including the flex section so that could help with some sound from that as well.

right now i have a borla intercooled exhaust tip. does anyone know where you can get a good stainless steel resonated tip that can fit on a 2.5 inch pipe? i want one with an opening smaller than 3.5 in because i dont like flashy tips. my intercooled tip looks stock and is 2.5 in which i like but i wanted to see if i could quiet the exhaust even more with a resonated tip, or do resonated tips not really do that much with sound?
