trunk pop NOT WORKIN!!

when i click my trunk pop on my remote...or when i do it from drivers side door, it makes a pop noise (much more quiter than usual) and doesnt open the trunk. When i go to the back and use my key i have no problem. i tried the obvious by checking the fuse and that was compeltely fine...i even changed the fuse wondering if the fuse was about to pop (not sure if that makes sense to even do) ...also if the fuse was messed up i wouldnt even had heard that pop noise.

has this happened to anyone b4?? what should i do? i hope its something simple i can do by myself for $free.99

lol, your trunk lock is on. open your trunk with your key, and look down where it locks. there is a switch you can toggle

open trunk, and look where it pops open. and press the trunk button. if you see something moving, then you might need to re-align the trunk, otherwize u'll need to replace the popper.

i didnt see the switch, i dont see any idication of a switch....i did notice that the pop piece underneath the lock can move up and down a little...i tried opening while this piece was up and then down and that didnt work...i dont think that the motor is strong enough anymore to pull the wire back enough so that it pulls down lock piece. im either going to a junkyard or to jerry rome if i cant figure it out soon... im bout to use a friends max as a guinea pig so i can test out the motor for trunk pop

yea, i did see the piece moving that is connected to the wire...but it didnt more really far. so i pulled the wire back myself and stuck something in the spot to keep the wire that far back. i then tried to close trunk and it wouldnt close (meaning that the space i made was needed for it to be open) ...

does this mean popper still works...or it doesnt work good enough....if it does work, how do i re-align the trunk? and how could the trunk shift???

For what its worth, my trunk stopped poppin some time ago and I am now having to use the key. I think its because my frame got bent either because of bad jack points or hard driving. Probably jack points... Although I did notice it first after a HPDE. My trunk does have a larger gap on the left side than the right... For what its worth.

whats an HPDE .... that sucks...i doubt my trunk shifted though...i dont ride that rough or anything like that, and it was popping 2 nights ago...and since then i havent hit any pot holes or anything like that, that would damage my frame....the only thing that my friend mentioned was the bass from my subwoofer...but its only 1 12" probably pushing about 300 watts right now (turned down)
