car is slow on pick up all of sudden need help! cat is smoking 2!

car is slow on pick up all of sudden need help! cat is smoking 2!

alrite the other day my car was doing peel outs fine. now today it slow on pick up. Its not the tranny because i put a new one in and installed a tranny cooler. and the tranny isnt leaking. but the part after the stock ypipe is smoking like crazy. white smoke need help please

new cat? new Knock sensor? new O2 sensor(s)?

Have you noticed a decrease in fuel economy?

as for the smoke... its the cat...get a new one...

alrite i started the car up again its been an hour, the eng. temp went down and the acceleration is back, i guess i have a bad cat or sumting?

so when u get slow acceleration all of a sudden that means its the cat? what needs to be done to fix it???

White smoke usually means its overheating....... Thats your problem. Lay off the "peel-outs" especially on that new tranny, otherwise it wont be long till you need another. Make sure you are breaking in that new transmission, id wait ATLEAST 750 miles till you do any hard driving, 1000 miles if you have the patience.
