I have a 99 Max with 96,XXX miles. I want to do a manual swap on my car, and I'm asking you guys if it's a wise decision. Is my engine too old and too late for the swap?

Manual swap? As in putting in a 5 speed? If so, I'm sure your engine doesn't care what kind of tranny is behind it. My 97 has 99,XXX and its a 5 speed. Doing the conversion shouldnt hurt a thing. It's not really a hardcore modification or anything, just adding something to it that plenty of maximas have.

(I hope this post was talking about the 5 speed conversion, thats the only manual swap I know about, if not.... )

Thanks for the reply, and yes it was for the 5 spd. manual conversion. I was just worried that the engine might be too old to not bother with the conversion. Thanks though.

As long as your compression is good(it should not be bad) you can do anything.
