A lesson that takes no time to learn. Possible SR thread, Reader beware !

The white glow from the city lights polluted the environment on this still night in the city of Los Angeles. The hum of my 98 automagic maxima ( intake and a y pipe only) becomes louder as I furiously try to pass an orange light before it turns red.

Me and my maxima very well know the familiar path that takes us to my apartment which lies a few miles away. However, this night we encounter a creeping up showing its forms in this urban jungle. The wide rims, huge exhaust and its never seen before tail lights make me wonder what kind of car just got out of the shopping center and turned infront of me. I speed up to catch this never seen before beauty and once caught, my eyes couldnt belive the piece of art rolling next to me. YES ! Its the all mighty SRT-10 VIPER with a drop down top and HUGEEEE RIMS revealing its identity on the streets!

With knowledge, most who are not ignorant of their kind know the danger of trying to tame a wild specie such as this. However, my maxima, a prideful one, loves to play.

Becoming anxious waiting defenselessly in gear I put her in neutral and rev it up to 6k rpm. But this doesnt seem to grab the attention of this beauty. So i try a different trick. as the tiger rolled ahead of me, i put the max in gear and floored it. But this fly by didnt grab his attention either. letting of the gas, i awaited this creature to catch up and this time he meant business. As i floored my kitten once more the tiger decides hand down the lesson for little ones to be careful when playing with ones much bigger than their own. The purr to my right erupts into a roar and the beast pounces. The prancing jog turns into a sprint. As my little one and I witness the playmate with little patience disappear down the strip with lessons of future warning exiting the loud hum from her exhaust. Such beauty to be witnessed of a full size beast erupting to its full potential. Me and My baby thought we were still in Neutral as all this happend but we both knew better. The beast disapeared while me and the max decided to go home in peace with a lesson PRElearned.

hope i didnt give the .org community a bad name
and thank god for that 15% tint that i have

EDIT: rear rims : 19x13 Front Rims: 18x10

Get the ECU upgrade and it'll be an easy kill lol

I've never seen a Viper in real life much less had the opportunity to rev at/fly-by one. Too bad you couldn't chat with him; would have been interesting to know if he'd modified it at all.

2 months ago, I was blessed with my neighborhood buying a red with white strips SRT-10. Yep, I love to look at it every day I go to work. I even asked him If i could drive it, but he said only when he gets bored with the car.

which I belive will be ......... NEVER.

@ people thinking a Maxima can take a Viper. Lets be reasonable people. The new Viper is 500hp and RWD, easily mid 11 sec car bone stock.

THT, you must live in the middle of a cornfield and never leave. Damn, I see at least a couple a month in Seattle. I'm actually kind of tired of 'em. By the way a new vette 'kills 'em on the track(just not the 1/4)

I saw a competition on speed tv one day between the two. They compared the 0-60 only, which I know doesn't mean that much, but the viper was 3.9 and the vette was 4.1

What I liked was that the vette was 30 grand less.

Well true that the viper will eat the maxima from 0 start but if ur already cruising at about 60 and u see a viper u can easily take it because a turbo maxima runnign 15 psi will easily be 400-450 hp wiht out a question so im sure that the maxima will take it , but a NA max will never even come close

Right, what 400-450 hp max would that be? There are maybe 2 or 3 of those and from how you wrote it, it seems every max is hitting 15 psi. They aren't, I doubt stock internals can handle that much .

true...

but the srt-10 is a truck w/ the v10 viper motor in it...

500hp stock and only does 13's b/c its 5000lbs....

still beats the max though..

FYI.. it beat the ford lightning in all the competitions they were in...
ford will be releasing a svt lightning in 2006

Since when does a SRT-10 Viper mean the srt10 truck? Didn't know they made the truck with a convertible top.

Use some punctuation once in a while. You're making all of us dumber by making us read your poor use of the English language.

Nope, never leave. I only sleep about five hours a night; the other 19 hours a day are consumed by school and work.

Hmmm, I don't mean to bud in, but that kind of IS important. Just how do you expect to get your point across without using proper punctuation, sentence structure, and grammar, even once in a while? This would make life so much easier for the rest of us and improve your inferior writing habits dramatically.
