I believe a 10 or 8mm bolt holds it in place. Then you have to pry the sensor out of the hole in the knuckle.

Sometimes the sensors can be lodged in there pretty tight. I ended up having to drill one out from the back side. Not fun.

so the sensor does come out of the steering knuckle. i had to get a new wheel bearing installed. part of the process is to remove the abs sensor. well as luck would have it the i unscrewed the 10mm nut and the sensor broke when i tried to remove them from the steering knuckle. (WTF) i assume is is supposed to slide out after the nut is removed.
