ECU code 1447 :Does any1 know what causes it?
A check engine light came on a while ago on my 1997 SE, so i got the scanner and it gave me the fault code 1447 which stands for "EVAP purge flow monitor circuit fault" or something like that. So I replaced the canister first, i reset the ECU and it came back on. Then, I changed the solenoid and it still came back on ... and then by now i replaced pretty much everything that has to do with EVAP, except the hoses but they look fine...and I still have the light on ....is there anyone out there that knows what this code pertains exactly to? HELP !!!!!!!!!!! ( beFore I'll set this car on fire--- that check engine light drives me crazy!!!!

0111
Diagnostic Trouble Code 0111 is detected when ...
- EVAP control system does not operate properly.
- EVAP control system has a leak in the line between intake manifold and EVAP control system pressure sensor.
Possible causes include ...
- EVAP canister purge volume control solenoid valve stuck closed.
- EVAP control system pressure sensor and its circuit.
- Loose, disconnected, or improper connection of rubber tube.
- Blocked rubber tube.
- Blocked or bent rubber tube to MAP/BARO switch solenoid valve.
- Cracked EVAP canister.
- EVAP canister purge volume control solenoid valve.
- Closed Throttle Position Switch.
- Improper connection of one-way valve.
- Blocked purge port.
- EVAP canister vent control valve.
This is a "jackpot" code. It points to so many possible causes as to be almost useless. It may be accompanied by another DTC which is more specific.

how about 0510 and 0512?
I know what they mean, but I want to know if they are related to my knock sensor, and if they don't(which is good), do they rob me of fuel economy or horsepower?

hmmm... I think we should use this thread for everyone to post their remarks and questions regarding the ECU codes, troubleshooting, along with the answers to the questions....
it seems like the 95-99 maximas have common problems but every now and then someone will discover something completely new, and i guess I happen to be one of those happy campers..........
