Uneven tire wear in rear tires causing "wha wha wha" sound?
mods i posted this in the tires and wheels forum with no reply. the title says it all. i am having uneven tire wear on my rear tires similiar to mud tires with high/low spots. they are kellys on stock rims with some meat left on them. i was wondering if this wha wha wha sound was from the tires. the dealer told me that this may be causing the sound and not the rear bearing. also i have noticed some wheel shaking at speed aboove 40. The guy at the tire place trold me that it was because my tires haven't been rotated. anyhelp is appreciated. thanks

oh yeah definitely thanks.. they will do that for the rears but the fronts are arlready balanced.. i have dunlops on the front and the shop is charging me 164 for 2 dunlops with new valve stems an balanced. Then they are putting the older front dunlops on the back and the new on the front. do you think this will solve my wheel shake and the "wha wha wha" sound or light roaring sound in the back because of the older kellys i have on the back now? thanks for all input

Sounds like chopped tires maybe. That will cause a bads sound and vibration. Chopped tires is uneven tread wear, but not like alignment wear. The tire will feel like it has waves in it if you run your hand over it.

thanks for all ya'lls input i replaced the back tired and put the older good tires that where on the front in the back.. all 4 wheels got balanced, and the manager gave me free tire rotation for life basically every 4-5k miles. The ride is way better and im shocked that the roaring sound i was hearing the the back was all from the tires and not being balanced and rotated. also the steering wheel shake stopped also, and i thought i hada bad rear whell bearing.. thanks for all ur help
