You have two easy options: 1) call a tow truck company, most of them have slim jims, or 2) call a taxi company, which would be cheaper. Where I am from some of the taxis carry slim jims and I'm sure they would be cheaper than a tow truck operator.

Don't break the window. Also, be careful they don't scratch the car. Use a towel or a dish cloth between the slim jim and the roof of the car.

I would suggest you get another key cut.

I checked with a dealership and killcrap is right. However, I would be inclined to go to a dealership that knows you if that is possible. If you haven't taken your car to a dealership, I suggest you bring some ID or receipts with you otherwise anyone could get a key cut and steal a car. My VIN# is on the top of my dashboard near the window and anybody can read it.

get something to wedge(wood, plastic) in the top of the door to give you space to slip a coat hanger inside to push the door unlock button

Wrong, they make you show proof of car insurance or they will not cut you a key ( i work at a dealership )

Depends on the dealership. Some want the title, some want the insurance, some just think you're lying and they don't want to deal with you

My friend locked his dad's keys in his car and just called the fire station and they sent a guy over and he got it opened up.

::shakes finger at Nissan for taking keyless entry off after 3rd gens:: That sucks dude. I'd say try to get either a key cut or have it slim jimmed if you can do it without scratching your paint. Other than that I'm clueless.Having keyless entry has saved my butt a few times.

:good catch.

just call AAA up if you have, that's what they are there for... or go the coat hanger trick... i'd be ashamed if either myself or 'sum1' locked my keys in the car.

Get someone with a slimjim. You'll scratch the h#ll out of your car with a coat hanger!

Keep a spare key... I keep a spare copy in my wallet and I have the other original at home. The spare copy is the one I use if I have to give my key to someone (like a mechanic or something). I never give my original key or keyless entry remote to anyone (except for family members)

Spare key is the way to go.

Personally I don't know how you did it since, the remote activates the factory "alarm." If I got out and didn't hit the button, I knew I left them in there and the doors would be open for me to get them without hassle.
