I'm not, but it might be interesting to read more about it. Do you have any sites of these products?

I agree, those software dynos aren’t very good…at least I don’t think so.

Anyway, we just got a Snap-On MT2500 scanner similar to this http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/pro_d...re&dir=catalog . It’s a couple of years old, so it only scans up to 2001-2002 but it seems to work great (on the vehicles I’ve tried it on). I haven’t had a chance to use it on the max since I don’t have the right Nissan adapter.

Has anyone had any success using this scanner and the OBD2 adapter without a personality key?

well, got my scanner from http://obddiagnostics.com/ today......it's nothing much (just like the rest of them). It does tell you the Throttle % and Ignition Advance.....and it looks like my car is running pretty good, as written in FAQ about the knock sensor. There is just one thing >>> my throttle never went above 91%, even at full accereration. Don't know if this is the way it's supposed to be, but i did read somewhere that it's just an error....i will test it on my buddies GSR.

I noticed the same thing with the autotap software. I'd monitor throttle % and it never got past 89-90%. ohm readings from the tps read 0.7-4.2 kOhms so that fits (well 200ohms off on either side but that's ok right?).
