ecu question...

it is said how you see massive gains from ECU/VI combo, so what do you see from the ECU alone? i assume it would still be a significant gain, especially for the money you have to spend. or at least, i would hope.

On average, 12whp. The JWT ECU is usually combined with the MEVI because the MEVI results in low and midrange power loss. The JWT upgrade offers an extended rev-limiter so you can better utilize the power gains of the MEVI. The best of both worlds would be to do a 2000 VI swap and get the JWT upgrade.

Gains are throughout the powerband.

gains are concentrated in the mid rpms but are present throughout.

personally if i had it to do over again i would get the ECU first. the mevi/jwt combo is greater than the sum of its parts though. from an mevi alone you won't really gain anything in the 1/4. from a jwt ECU you would probably gain .2 or so, but when you put them together they combine to enhance both the mid and high rpm power of the car.
