Hi everyone.
Basically, there is this whistling noise coming from the left side of my engine bay. While it probably is some kind of belt problem, is there anything else you guys could think of. Thanks in advance.

whistle? when you drive, rev or what? if its whining noise then its probably your alternator going bad

x2. Mine has been whining for about a month and a half, and getting louder every week.

if its a whining sound, yes alternator like they said.

however, if it's like a airy whistle... sometimes airfilters can do this, especially if its a large cone filter (if you have one of these try revving up the engine and putting your hands over different parts of it to stop the whistle.)

sorry to bring back an almost dead thread, but I'm thankful to say that the whistling noise went away after sitting that afternoon and restarting. Thanks for the responses.
