5th Gen 5spd tranny in 4th gen (questions) sorry!

Ok, well I've embarked in a sweet 2001 5spd Transmission for around $700, only 53,000 miles on it. So I might dump the whole 4th gen 5spd tranny, if the company can ship. But my only questions are....

What else would I need from the 5th Gen Car?
(extra sensors?, harnesses?, ecu? etc....)

I recall I'm gonna need the 5th gen axle...(The whole axle or the housing??? what do I need exactly to complete this?) Do I need the axle shaft? axle beam? axle assy???

Will I need the linkage cable, clutch, pedal, etc... from the 5th gen??

What other org. members have done this so I can talk to them??

Is my transmission shop gonna run into any problems doing this??? If so what kinda of problems?

Sorry for all the questions, but ever since I rebooted the computer I lost all my saved threads on my favorites, and well I have to start all over again. So please bare with me.

I also had question like you and i figured out some answers.

1. you don't need anything else from 5th gen.
2. 4th gen axle also work with 5th gen unless 5th gen transmission is not LSD.
3. nope
4. I forgot who it was but he didn't have any trouble with installation.
5. I guess he won't have any trouble installing it since even no machanic can install it.

and one last thing, once you have 5th gen transmission installed,
the position of shifter will be little different than 4th gen.
I heard instead of shifter standing straight up, it kinda leans backward more.

oh, and you selling your old 4th gen tranny???
if so how much???

was it liquidvenom....y do people always put the damn u in there? lol ohh well yea i did it. and it drives great.
lsd tranny goes with lsd axels...
u dont need jack from the 5th gens except the tranny.
i dont remember about the speed sensor but i think they maybe the same and if not then u use the one from your 4thgen tranny and that should work but im not sure. make sure u get it with the tranny if your 4thgen one is broke or the 5th gen one doesnt work. but im sure u can buy one if needed. ohh and u may want to go with a short throw shifter at this point and it would help the shifter to sit in the same position. i say go for the custommaxima one since it sits so far foward that the after the 5th gen tranny swap it sits in the right spot.
if u have any thing else just im or pm me.

If I'm not mistaken you have to use your 4th Gen speed sensor, I'm just not 100% sure on it.
