White smoke coming from the exhaust?
Well, it could be numerous things. First, I had these big white clouds of smoke coming from the the tip of the exhaust. I checked my anti-freeze level, and it was low. Okay, so I head over to Pep Boys and get some anti-freeze. I let the car cool down for a good 20 minutes. Then I re-filled the resivior(sp?) to the maximum level. Let that sit another 10 minutes after that. Then I start my car, and it didn't have as big as white smoke coming out, still had the smoke, but they weren't heavy clouds of it.
The smell is described as a heavy-sweet smell. Thing is, it still has white smoke coming out. I can't hear anything wrong with the car(rod knocking) or anything like that. When I was at a stop light, light turned green, I could feel a little studder, then after that, everything seems fine.
What could be some other possibilities?

To fill up the radiator let your car run, open the radiator cap. Then fill the radiator. The resivior(i cant spell shut it!
) should only be used if the engine is hot. Even then its sort of a half a s sed way to fill up the rad.
You might just be low on coolant still.

I gotta agree with everyone else. Your head gasket is gone. Your water jacked might also be cracked but that is harder to do and would basically make your motor a good boat anchor. Stick with the head gasket. I would replace the gasket and check the head to make it sure it didn't warp. I would also replace my radiator fluid and add a bottle of Red Line Water Wetter. Heat made your head warp so there might be a problem with the coolant. If you have an auto trans replace that fluid also...heat kills autos and since the ATF is routed through the rad it might have gotten burned.

If its leaking Coolant than Its not your head gasket thats the problem. Check your oil..if your oil looks like a milk shake than its definetly your head gasket. The white smoke kinda leans me to believe your head gasket it shot. Look to see where your leaking coolant..or bring it to a macanic
