I have a few questions about the OSCAI. I did a search and did not seem to find an answer for my question. First, I have recently put in a K&N cone filter in.. Is there any point to doing the OSCAI? (I am bored, not being able to do anything to my car as I am waiting for parts to arrive in the mail) If I can derive some benefit out of doing the OSCAI, my other question is, I have a 98 GLE.. The tube under the scoop does not seem to be 3 inches. It seems to be 2 inches.. Is that right or am I looking at the wrong thing? I was walking around Home Depot yesterday and could not find any tubing suitable in the 2-3 inch size. The only thing that I found close was a vacuum hose extender.. Then I saw the vacuum head attachment and it looks like a scoop? Can anyone suggest a certain type of tubing that I should use if I were to go ahead and do this? Thanks!

Yeah the tube is 2" on the 4th gen. I used a shop vac hose that was labeled as 2 1/4 inches...it slipped right in. You wont get any benefit from this if you are no longer using the factory airbox, though.
