CEL Light

CEL Light

Is there ANYTHING a machanic can do to make sure the CEl light does not come back on??

I ask obviously without really fixing the problem, or anything?

EVAP Vent Control Valve code came up with the CEL.. They turned off the CEL to test if it comes on again ( could of been gas cap).. COuld they have done something to make sure it does not come on without really sovling the problem..

change the valve, if its the gas cap the code will be fore evap gross leak.

When you reset the ECU the CEL will go away, depending on the problem you have, it will either come back quick, or come back slow (the CEL I mean)...
