Hi, this may have been discussed in the past but since the "Search" is not accessible (at least by me), hence my need to revive the topic. Anyhow, just a simple question for you guys on how to fix the Cruise Control on my 95 SE. It stopped working all of a sudden and I could not trace back when it happened or what I have done prior to its current situation. Although the ON/OFF button on the dash next to the steering wheel still lights up everytime I turn it on, but the buttons or controls on the steering wheel itself does nothing when pressed to activate. Any info shared will be greatly appreciated.

does your cruis lights on the dash blink?

mine does this, and it was diagnosed as a bad cruise control computer? havent fixed it yet as this part costs several hundred dollars.

If the computer is bad, I would recommend getting one from a junk yard. I don't think install is very complicated. www.car-part.com has them for $75(at least for the '99)

 

I've got a 95 GLE with the exact same problem. The ON OFF light works, but the steering wheel buttons ONLY respond when i press one of them the same time i press the on button, and the cruise dash light blinks. I guess its good to know what the problem is.
