Intake Manifold Cleaning

I plan on taking the intake manifold off and giving it a good cleaning. Just wondering who has done it and is it worth it.
I have cleaned my throttle body and I can just imagine what the inside of the manifold looks like.
Is there and anything else I should do, fix/clean, while I have it off?
I just don't want to run into something to unexpected.
Any help would be appreciated.

I'd recommend doing a Seafoam cleaning. Look in the fluid and lubication forum for info.

I know about seafoam I just wanted to get alittle more hands on and I think I could clean it better . Also,it just would be more interesting to take it apart and see stuff ya know. I don't know, I just like to do stuff like that. That is really how I learned stuff about cars, just take it apart and put it back together.

Anybody ever done this?
