My auto tranny has 120K will it last?

My car is a '97 engine compression is good 183PSI consistent in all banks, tranny is not slipping, shifts are fine, it's downshifting, and upshifting just fine. But again I am concerned nonetheless 122K miles I maintain the car better than I maintain myself so I'm asking for opinions and or facts. Thanks Guys.

I would say your good at least for a while. Of course **** happens. I had a friend lose a clutch at 40k, of course it was a Geo Storm.

'97 SE with 120K (shifts great)...I really wanna change the tranny fluid but that may not be a good idea if the previous owner never did that. What % of drivers do you think do that?

The Auto's are strong as ****. Don't worry about yours. Mine has been DR'ed and downshifted for the past 12K and its still kickin'.

If you want to be proactive about it, go up to your local auto parts store and buy a stand-alone tranny cooler for like 50 bucks. They have been documented to reduce tranny-fluid temps by up to 70 degrees farenheit. Because heat is the enemy here.

Although it sounds pretty ghetto to me, I've been told you only need zip ties for the install. Supposedly, no drilling is necessary.

When was the last time you changed your tranny fluid?

You should run synthetic in there.
