Car Studdering/Missing Like hell

Little background - '98 I30, 70k miles, plugs replaces 5k miles ago. No CEL on, everything apears to be normal.

The car studders, or misses like hell when sitting still, or at low speeds, under 25mph. If the AC is on it's worse, hard to describe but its like the whole car shakes once, every 10-30 seconds while sitting at a light. My thought was a coil, but the dealer is telling me they are fine. I tend to believe them since there is no CEL.

However now they are trying to tell me that it is the intake, which has been on for 2 years. So basically they want me to replace the intake so they can rule that out - dumb asses just don't want to do their job and try to pin it on me.

My extended warrantee covers just about everything, but they said they can't replace the coils without a CEL because they warrante company needs the paper work.

What is your guys thoughts on this?? What should I try next. I know it isnt the intake, thats just some smoke getting blown up my a**.

Any help would be great guys, it really p***es me off to be sitting there shaking at the stop light.

replace your fuel filter, it may be clogged and it's a cheap way to find out if that's your problem.

tell them to check the resistance of the coil packs. if any arent infinite, then you should recieve them for free. make sure they are mitsubitsi ones. and tell them to do it. dont take no for an answer since you have warrenty coverage. also if that isnt the case then tell them to ohm out the injectors as well.
