No No No No No.... dont go cheap on ur amp. A crappy *** ebay amp wont power a type r for ****. Get a good name brand amp. Ive been though 3 amps and set 3 subs on fire from going cheap on my car audio. I had one of those *1000w Amps* off of ebay, but it really was only about 100RMA... wouldnt power my sub for ****. Now im running a full audiobahn setup and havent had problem number one

Absolutely. I like to have a brand i can fall back on.. Ive had so many debates on this issue that it aint even funny. It really boils down to personal preference. As long as your wire is oxygen free your ok.. now you may get some SHI_TY RCA's...

That might be true but it's not what he asked. He was asking about an amp WIRING kit, not an amp itself.

I had a Wal-mart brand amp wirring kit on a Audiobahn 1200 watt amp. The wirring would be hot all the time when running the system. Went to my local car club shop and got all the name brand wirring for less than $60 and never had a problem. Well dude you pay for what you get, so ask yourself this question do you really want you car on fire? Enough said.

im using a walmart brand wiring kit..no problems....wire DOES matter...but for subs, i think the quality can slack some as opposed to a high/midrange amp wire.
