oil filter

recently i found a oilfilter that was hiding my closet. my question is how do i know if the oilfilter is still good or not? or if the seal is too old

Is it for a VQ? Is it a Nissan oil filter.......for a VQ? If not, give it away to some sap with a Ford, or something.

Seriously, I wouldnt recommend using anything but a Nissan filter in your Max.
