I got mine at walmart in the AutoSection where the wireing/foglihgts are. It is called spiral wrap. I am sure you can find it anywhere that sells wires.

It's so things don't squeek. Stock springs come with it as well as some aftermarket springs (H-techs do anyway).

I went to the drinking water section, also the section with sprinklers and drip irrigation. I got clear drinking water tubing. It's much thicker and durable than wire loom (i dunno what rubber hose you're refering too). Here's what's on the label of the hose I bought

Clear Vinyl Tubing
10 feet
7/8" outside diamter
5/8" inside diamter (fits front Sprint springs snug... rear coils are smaller diameter)
Use for:
*low pressure
*food/water uses
*do not use with ice makers

You'll hafta get creative for the rears cuz the end of the coil is welded to the coil above it. I got mine snug. I had enuf tubing to do the tops of the coils too. good luck.

Cool deal. The only spiral wrap @ my local hardware store was thin an weak, so I skipped it. Should work tho, and since it's spiral, easy to fit to any size spring.

Those who posted about vinyl tubing sliced through theirs (spiral and longitudinal) ... I didn't on mine. I tried that at first, but it sucked cuz it looked crappy, no matter how straight my cuts were, and if I sliced in sections, it just looked cheezy. So I measured the diameter w/calipers and bought the diameter I needed.

You can be creative with this stuff. I was gonna dip mine in the rubber stuff that you coat tool handles with... I may do that later.

The spiral wrap is suppose to be thin and weak, its only purpose is to stop the noise.

Reuse the OEM spring isolators that are on your springs. They usually come right off and clean up for reuse on your sport springs. You can use some rubber cement to hold them in place on your new set of springs.
