mushy clutch

I have a 96 5spd. I lent my car to my gf for a weekend and when she returned it, the clutch felt very different. The touchpoint used to be very close to top position of the pedal, but after she drove it, the touchpoint was only about an inch above the lowest position of the pedal. Pressing down the clutch doesn't do anything until the pedal almost reaches the floor.

It's been a week now and the position of the touchpoint seems to change depending on the weather. Hot weather = lower touchpoint. Does anyone know what might've happened? Maybe a loose cable or something, cuz it seems unlikely that she wore out my clutch that much in just 1 weekend (but she isn't exactly the world's best driver either).

Well honestly I've seen a clutch killed in about 30minutes. Anything is possible especially if the driver doesn't know at least the basics of driving manual. The clutch might have been worn down a bit more possibly. You can adjust the clutch play/height by loosening the nut and turning the rod behind the clutch. I did this to my friends maxima after his clutch was hard to engage.
Basic check the cluch fluid resvoir if its low.

Which could be more likely to go first? I think my master cyl has a slight leak, because when I try to bleed the lines, there is always no pressure.

I made the mistake of letting my g.f. attempt to learn on my car....2 weeks later spent 2 days doin the clutch job....lesson learned, let her learn on a CIVIC!
