loss of power on acceleration

hey guys,

lately i've been experiencing a loss of hp on acceleration. But it's not all the time.... I've replaced my knock sensor about a year ago and that seemed to have fixed the same problem i had last year (previous KS was actually split in half) so I was wondering what else it could possibly be?

I have a 96 max with 119k miles on it... or 190,000 km's manual.
I use amsoil oil changing it at regular intervals. not sure what other info i could provide to help figure out the prob... :-/

oh... to note, there no determining factor as to when i lose the hp... it's simply random...

What should i check out?

Thanks for the help

I have a 99 max w/127k. I had a loss of acceleration around 110k, and I changed KS, spark plugs, air and fuel filter. Problem wasn't fixed, so when CEL came on around 125K, the code was 0201, and based on what other org'ers have said, it's the ignition coil packs. I'm no expert by any stretch, but my situation sounds a lot like yours, so I thought I'd share my info. I'm waiting for the parts to come in...by next week, I'll know for certain if it was the coils or not.

Good luck to ya.
