DR causing my CEL

Would the Drop Resistor mod cause CEL to come on? I know I still need to check the codes, but just as a quick refferance, would it cause it, and how do i need to do the mod so it doesnt trip the light?

bigleman,

Code P0745 is the same code as 1205. I placed the (P) infront of your code because it was pulled with a OBD2 scantool. When you use the scan tool there is a completely different set of numbers that have the same meaning as what you would get if you manulley pulled the codes from the computer.

There is currently no way to wire the DR mod so that the CEL will not come on for a 98 model year. Some of the earlier models have or don't have this problem. However we 98 owners just have to make sure to reset the CEL when it appears. If you do not know how to manuelly reset your CEL I suggest you read the Sticky's and learn how to do that. It sure is alot easier to do it yourself then have to go to autozone & what for the guy to do it for you.
