Changed my Knock Sensor today...
Wow.... I cannot believe I have been driving around with a bad knock sensor. It's as if my car was breathing through a straw.. I thought my car was fast after the 5spd swap, but after the KS swap.. D@MN the car just wants to gooooo.. Installation wasn't that hard, took about 10 min. Heres a pic of the bad knock sensor: Bad one on the left and New one on the right.

What exactly is a ghost code. I think I might have a bad ks but not sure, car seems sluggish. I got a check engine light last night and hooked up the code scanner and saw that I had an ignition code and a ks code. Could the ks code have been stored from previously? is that a ghost code, a code that doesnt trip the check engine light?

I changed my KS last night, glad your's went fast, mine took 1.5 hours. First bought a 1/2" instead of 12mm by mistake, then broke the 12mm, then dropped the bolt. Toughest part was getting my hand in to start the bolt again.
Glad I did it myself, I think I could do it 30 mins next time.
