Help on Airbag light reset.

Help on Airbag light reset.
I have a '99 Se with the side airbags. This weekend I took out the front seats to clean them and also to "insulate" the back seat area with "peal and seal". After I was all finished I started the car and found my air bag light blinking. I tried to reset the light with the method found in the FAQ but it still blinks. (ignition in "on" position and pushing in the door button at least 5 times within 7 seconds...) I'm hoping that I didn't do any damage to the seat airbags when taking the seats out. My thought is since I had the radio playing while the car seats were out it the airbag system noticed they weren't there anymore and found a "problem". Now, all has to be done it reset the airbag system. Note: I did recheck all the conections again before trying to reset the light.
Can anyone help out? This happen to anyone before? I'm hoping that I don't need to go to a dealer to solve the problem.
Please help!
Thanks,
Tom

Double check and be sure all the plugs for your seats are connected. Unplug them and reconnect them just to be on the save side. Then try to reset the system again with the door switch procedure. I though it was more like 10X within 5 seconds....

Thanks for the reply. I'll have to try everything again. I'll unplug the seat connections and reconnect them. I also want to take apart my center console and see if I hit something there when it was apart over the weekend. Then I'll try resetting it by more than 10x in 5 seconds.
Does anyone else know anything about this?

Ya I read something about this a while back.. Its got something to do with one of the connectors in your seat I dont remember the exact problem, but just like you another guy removed his seats and got the air bag light.. someone gave a good example of what to check but it was about a month or 2 ago.. But ya what was said check ALL connectors under the seat
