Did it two weeks ago, very easy, but you can use a adjustable wrench or get this neet tool they sell to remove 02 sensors. Well anyways, I did mine with my front lifted on jackstands. Get on you back under the engine and look for the 02 sensor that get wired to the back of the engine. Its on the y pipe section that is connected to the rearside of you engine. You need to pop your hood and disconnect the O2 connector first. When you trace the 02 sensors up you will see one is connected to the rearside and it had certain plastic plugs which keep the wire from dangling, that you can use a scissor to cut those. Remember where they belong because you will have to reuse the same holes for your new sensor. It pretty straightforward and it is also illustrated in the Haynes Repair Manual for Nissan Maximas. Good luck and remember to keep the engine off until you are done and dont drop the new o2 sensor the can break.

Yet another reason to get an aftermarket y-pipe. Without that pre-cat in the way the whole procedure is much easier.
