My Fuel Filter needs changing.... 300z, YES or NO??
i need to change my fuel filter this weekend badly. Should i go buy the 300Z filter or just stick to the regular replacement? Any useful tips on brands to go for over others? Last time i bought a FRAM filter seemed to work fine.
If i go with the 300Z one, what year(s) do i need to buy one for? and will modification be needed for the bracket?
any other feedback is welcome!
thanks,
Ant

Buy it from a 96 Z, same year as your car. I use WIX filters, they seem to be high quality and I always read good reviews on them. The fuel filter is one of those things that you wish you didn't have to change as often, especially if you have ABS. It's a simple job but sort of nerve racking. It's only a few bucks more than a max filter and last longer.

Most Defiantely you should get the Fuel filter for the Turbo Z, I dont think it matters what year as long as its 93+
You dont need to modify anything to get it to fit in, it will fit in and ber very snug.
The Z filter is (like in the faqs) Twice as big, twice as efficient, My idle was felt very smooth after wards. Nothing negative about putting the Z fuel filter on.
Sweet looking Max by the way. Love the rims.

I have had the 300ZX fuel filter in my car for 1.5 years with no problems performance or fitment, just need to bend the bracket that holds it to allow for a wider filter. i'm going to replace it with another one soon already (has over 20K miles on it)
