Ignition Coil Problems?

Like typical '99 Maxima's I have encountered an ignition coil problem. I spoke to someone at Nissan who informed me that if they get enough phone calls complaining about how Nissan knows of the problem, they will issue a recall. Take five minutes of your time and call 1-800-Nissan1 (800-647-7261) Choose option 1 and then option 5. Their Consumer Affairs department will answer. Just tell them what kind of Maxima you have and you want to file a complaint. They will ask for your infomration, you will be registered and when and if they FINALLY issue a recall you will receive a notice! (Isn't the $600 - $700 worth the 5 minutes?)

Wow, I hope the recall goes through, I have that same problem on my 99 I30. Would the recall include the I30, since it's essentially the same car?

Do you guys know what's the worse that could happen if this problem isn't fixed? I really don't want to fork over the 700 bucks, and probably won't. So if they never issue the recall, I'm hoping the worse that can happen is just happening already, which is the car shaking when idling. Anyone know?
