Im a little confused. It says on thier website it is for a 95-96 maxima, so what i am wondering is if i buy someone ECU from a 95 96 maxima can i have them program that ECU for my MEVI and supercharger? Will it still work when i replace it with my 98 ECU?

someone please help me i really wanna just send this ECU out or do whatever i have to do

 

any year jwt ecu (95 or 96) will work in a 98. since you say you are supercharged you will not want to use an NA program however, so you would want one with either a supercharged specific program, or possibly just a stock ecu program with raised fuel cut if the raised rev limiter is all you are after.

 

jwt can program the ecu to work with the supercharger so you dont have to use fuel management.

 

Only problem with the JWT ECU for 98's from what I have read is you will have a constant CEL on. Nothing you can do about it.

You can go directly through JWT or through a dealer like Cattman Performance or SWAW (I know they sell the cams...don't know about the ECU)

 

You WILL get a REAR O2 code and possibly a Fuel Pump code. But the car will run fine.

 

i called to get an upgrade, and they said ure best bet is to get the 96 chip from somewhere, and then send that one in....the guy from jwt gave me a phone number to some place out in cali where they can even send the chip straight to jwt from their place....they sell the ecu's for 95-96 maximas....pm me if u want me so i know if its important enough to go through my stuff for that phone number....

 

so ur sayin i should get a 95 5 speed ecu n then send it to jwt even though my car is a 1997 5 speed i duno
