9004 Bulb Modifications

9004 Bulb Modifications
Just got my Maxima, will post some pictures. I have read about HID and 9007 mods to the lights. Has anyone tried a stronger 9004 bulb? I have had great luck in the past with my Hella H4s (the old rectangular lights, 1st generation Integra for instance) with stronger wattage bulbs.
This company has stronger 9004 bulbs: www.rallylights.com/hella/9004.asp.
Has anyone tried the 100/80W bulbs? Would that type of power draw melt some wires in the Maxima?
It is a cheap way to increase lighting. I know the 9004 beam pattern is not great from what I have read on the forum, but I am not ready to spend $100s and lots of time (in the case of 9007) unless this solution does not work.
Anyone? Thanks.

my 2 cents. I had 75w/100w PIAA's in my 95 and loved them. My 97 now has the 9007 mod and I love it much, much more. I've got 9007 Xtra-Visions and will probably change to Silverstars when one blows out. It's not so much that the light is brighter, the 9007 has a definite and better pattern to it. Fyi, I did make my own upgraded wire harness and have adjusted the aim on my lights twice before I found the perfect setting.

JC Whitney sells 9004 bulbs slightly over stock wattage.
Stock = 45/65 - JC Whitney has a 55/65 bulb called Diamond White. They throw a nice clean light down with a rainbow effect that projects on the perimiter which really helps light up street signs and painted lines on the road. They work excellent on wet roads too. They also have H3's to match. I'm running the whole Diamond White setup, it's probably one of the best lighting setups I've ever had.

I'm a major noob when it comes to lighting so any help is greatly appreciated. 96SEPebble, I hope you don't mind me hijacking your thread here.
Ok, I found a few ebay conversion harnesses (I don't think I'm up to making my own). Which of these will work? Are any better than the others? Anybody have links to non ebay harnesses I should check out? Auction 1 , Auction 2 , Auction 3 , Auction 4 . Those actually seem to be the same product, just different sellers and prices. Are any of these any good? Are they in fact all the same thing as it appears? Thanks alot.
9007 bulb recommendations would be great too.
*edit* another question, has anybody had problems with the rest of the harness? It looks like these just plug into the existing one. Should I really upgrade the whole headlight harness somehow? Thanks again people.*edit again* I think I answered this myself. Those harnesses are not enough. I would need this if I don't want to do it myself.

How about this one?

(100/55) not listed as diamond, just white but sure looks the same - i really want strong high beams, low beams are not quite as important to me, especially since the fogs light up the road right around the car. maybe with this bulb
no wiring rework is needed since high beams dont tend to stay on too long unless you are way out in the country or very late at night.
