CAI woes

So I just installed an "ebay exclusive" RAM air in my 98 GLE. i bought the whole CAI kit but i'm an idiot and couldn't figure out where the dam thing goes. i read in a post somewheres here that you have to cut a hole in your car to get the good ambient air, but where the hell do you cut? It looks like the pipe would have to go under the fuses next to the battery, then i guess you could cut there and it would be in an alright spot, but i really don't want to cut up my car if im not sure. so if anyone's got pics or a good write-up hit me back.

Be careful, not all CAI's require a hold to be drilled in the fender next to the battery tray. Some, like Injen's, are called CAI's but they have a tube that bends down towards the ground but it's still inside the engine compartment. Hope that makes some sense.

show a link to an intake like the one you bought and i think that will help people show you where it goes.

well i've been researching and it's almost exactly like the Place Racing kit but it doesnt have the the bushing for the hole i have to cut and some other ****. and i found a how-to on this site that answered a lot of questions. i mostly went with the CAI for the sound and all my friends were doin it to their ricer hondas so i jumped off the bridge too. i figure ebay is cool cuz im not wasting $100+ on something i don't like, but i love the RAM so im excited to do the cold air. thanks for all the help
