I have a 98 GXE. Everytime I hit a bump or rough road my trunk make all kinds of noise. I think its because the trunk lip is loose. It sound like it bounces up and down. If there any way to fix it or make it latch on to the latch tighter?

 

theres bolts on the latch attached to the trunk loosen and lower and it should fix ur problem.

 

yes.. as nismos14 said.. theres 2 bolts holding the latch part. loosen them and push the latch down alittle and tighten them back up. close your trunk and keep testing it until you find that the latch holds it down enough and the lid doesnt move up or down while closed. i adjusted mine just right so it closes with very little pressure.

 

check the jack in the trunk, if ts loose it makes a really annoying sound.
