Neon installation gone wrong

I installed two neons under the dash in the front a while ago. I wired it straight to the igniton wire with a 7.5 amp inline fuse. I had a small one on the driver side and a 10 in on the passenger. The driver side blew out. When i replaced the neon yesterday with a 10in, it worked for 2 min then blew. it also burned my fuse. Any ideas why? I replace the fuse with a 10 amp now and i'm going to get a new 10 in neon. Anyone have any idea what i did wrong? Thanx

Must be a short somewhere. Re-check all of your wiring.

No gueschecking if you wire straight to the battery...definately worth it.

Yea you have a short. Thats why the fuse is blowing. Also did you use the correct type of fuse?

too much current being drawn from the circuit...wire to the battery and you should be fine also works good for easier exspansion.

I bought a new tube and everything is fine. Now, if i want to add two more underneath the seats, is it safe to just connect to the same switch? I'd be connecting 4 neons to the same powere source. i have a 10 amp fuse.

you needx to make sure your switch can handle the amps, and its better to have too thick or wire than too thin.
