Temperature Neeedle

I been having this problem for quite sometime...everytime I'm driving on the highway and i want to speed up on the 85 + mph my temperature needle start moving up...but it only happens when the outside temp is on the 90+ degrees.
this morning Iwas driving to work about 5:30 am and I push it all the way to 115 = mph and the needle didn't move a bit...

Has anyone have had this situation before?

I'm running out ideas... i check the temp sensor close to the radiator...check for water pump to work porperly...drain radiator and replace coolant...

Any tips or coments my help me to after something that i have not try yet...

Thanks,
