Question about grounding kits

I was just doing some research on a grounding kit. Looking on ebay these little kits just look like a round metal circle with 4 guage wiring. I was wondering if any of you guys have them? Did you buy them or just make them yourself? and what were the gains. Ive read that it helps alot with your lights dimming on a powerful stereo, and in somecases some people have said it helps with HP gains. But Im guessing that its quite low if any.. Just wanted to get some feedback on that. Thanks guys!

i made my own grounding cables. no noticeable increase in HP or TQ. it did raise my battery voltage from 13.86 to 14.14v. Also noticed that my speakers make a bit of a cleaner sound.

oh yeah, i just used 8ga. wire and some negative battery cables with terminals on the ends of the wires and found any place on the engine and transmission and grounded it to the firewall, fenderwells, and chassis frame (or unibody). but i only did one wire per component on the engine and trans.

Depending on how old your max is, and how corroded your grounding points are, ground kits can do wonders. Someone with a 4th gen dynoed around +10hp gain and around +8tq with a grounding kit alone. It all depends on the condition of your grounding points. It might do nothing, but it could do wonders. I'm in the process of making a heavy duty 8 wire ground kit (8awg to 2awg) and am looking forward to seeing what this is going to do because my ground points are pretty messed up.
