Are dealers willing to make keys mail order....I would suspect any dealer in their right mind would say no...as it just sounds like a good way to swipe , but I am just hoping...anyone....bueller...bueller.

My only local Nissan dealer wants $100 for a new key for my 99 SEL. The local hardware store says the key is more specialized than other programmable keys so he can't make it, only a dealer. It doesn't help that the plastic portion of the key where it fits on the ring breaks soo easy either.
