viper 791xv

Hey guys, well today I was getting my newly purchased alarm installed, and the installer calls me up and tells me I have a defective brain. I'm not sure how he found out but , he tells me the brain is getting 12v of power constant which is not good (not sure if it was teh brain getting that constat power or the remote start) but one of them. Is he just confused or does he knwo what he's talkinga bout? Supposdily with 12v of power, can cause some grinding - I'm assuming he was talkinga bout teh remote start with this matter. Also, if soemone happens to know how i can go about getting a new brain pls let me know. I purhcased this off of ebay. I believe viper has a warranty or soemthing.

SOmeone pls. let me konw..

Thankz inadavnce..

Id take it to a diffrent installer. IF you get a gridning sound when trying to auto start it could be a bad ignition switch.

Get a second opinion. Yes viper does have a warrenty.

the viper should have some sort of anti-grind feature. check the manual.
