RPM meter won't go beyond 2200?

RPM won't go beyond 2200

95 Max Automatic Tran, When I drive the RPM won't go beyond 25000 and have delay shift. Any comment what's wrong?

25,000? Dang!!! Mine won't go past 7200, and that's with the rev limit extended.

did you beat the heck out of the tranny in the past 15 minutes?

if not then just read the stickies... if you did then turn the car off and wait about 15 minutes...

if u just put an intake on ur car did you remeber to plug the MAFS plug back in...if not it will do that. i did that the first time and scared the crap out of myself. if thats not the problem its most likely a MAFS

you need to replace your headlight fluid?

I usually go past 50,000 RPM in 7th gear.

if u just put an intake on ur car did you remeber to plug the MAFS plug back in...if not it will do that. i did that the first time and scared the crap out of myself. if thats not the problem its most likely a MAFS

It is the black pipe thing on your intake with a box on top of it and a connection. If you just put an intake in then it is what you should have kept from the stock one. If you have not then it may have gone bad for some reason. What year is your car? I know some 5th gens have problems with theirs.

Oh and by the way MAFS or MAF is known as the Mass Air Flow Sensor.

haha. if it doesnt pass 25000 rpm, you dont have to worry about it. no one's in the org does. check maf. like the pic above

did you install an intake recently? or did you check the MAFS?

My **** did that too, scared the crap out of me. That happend after i cut holes in the air intake box. But after it sit for like 30 min at a friends house it was fine. I also reved it up in netural a few times, that seemed ot make it rev higher in gear. Not to mention that most driving over 2,500 rpms is a waste of gas that most .org users do... including myself!
