ATTN: Anyone with Xenon Lights

I'm looking into purchasing a xenon kit from Meccatune. They use Hella ballasts and bulbs. These are the specs on the kit below:

Product Specifications

Ballast

-Genuine Hella Ballast made in Germany with Integrated Igniter
-35W Power Supply
-Input - 13.2V DC Norm, 3.2A Norm. 20A Max; Output - 35W Norm
-Dimensions - 3.3x3x1.25 (LxWxD); Weight - 2.1 lbs each ballast

Bulb
Hella Approved Japanese Made Koba HID Bulbs

My concern is whether or not these will burn out my harness and wiring. Also, since I use 9004 bulbs, will the light be focused or blind oncoming traffic?

If you understand how they use separate system for HIDs you would know that they get power directly off the battery and only triggered by the factory harness...

9004 pattern will be horrible and blinding to oncoming traffic... unless you aim them really down (which defeats their usefulness and still there is some glare).

but then again...with all the SUV's driving around with HID's and blinding people on the second floor of their apartments I stopped caring about blinding others.... (i did sell my hid's and went stock though)

Is there anyway I can adapt or retrofit an H4 housing in there? I know the cefiro headlights use H4. Any other headlights I can adapt to fit?

are H4 bulbs the best in terms of light focus?

I know which kit you're talking about. That kit from meccatune on ebay is crap. There was a thread up about it a while back. Although the ballasts are said to be "hellas", the bulbs are definitely crap.

You should retrofit some projectors in that bish.

But if u just want the plug and play kit, get the Phillips 6000k kit.

These will not burn out your harness. im guessing you used to use those aftermarket bulbs w/high wattage. These only draw a current of 35w.

and as for blinding ppl in our 9004 housings..yes, u will blind everyone and their mothers
